ABOUT ME
Carrie Walker, RN
I believe that nursing is a passion that can’t be learned only from books. Nursing is a 24x7x365 profession with a fast pace. Every day brings new physical and emotional challenges, and I adapt with constant reprioritization, strong collaboration with care teams, and rapid response to crises. Throughout my many hospital roles as a Registered Nurse, CNA, and medical secretary, my team and I could always rely on each other to get through the difficult parts of the job with mutual support and laughter.
I am also a seasoned advocate for patients and families. I know how it feels to wait for news in the ICU waiting room while a loved one is in critical condition. I go the extra mile to cultivate positive relationships, give dignity to people from all walks of life, and empower everyone to participate in their plan of care. To me, providing emotional support, education, or simple human connection is the most important part of the job.
